People who stay in Delhi are extremely lucky as they have a chance to explore so many cities. The drive allows you to go through paved , rocky paths through bustling towns , scenic destinations and alluring nature. Here is a list of few drives to Delhi that will elicit your travel spirits and leave you wanting more.

Agra – 

 This is by far the best and most famous road trip from Delhi. It takes almost 165 km to reach via Yamuna Expressway. This place is rich with historical monuments like the famous Taj Mahal that is a part of seven wonders of Earth. Apart from this there is also Agra Fort , Itimad-ud-daulah’s tomb, Fatehpur Sikri and Mehtab Bagh and many more. Shopping here is also very unique, filled with many handcrafted merchandise. The petha is also famous here and is a must try.

Corbett –

 Any wildlife enthusiasts here? Well there can’t be any better place than Corbett. Amidst luscious green forestry and enchanting wildlife this place is abode to huge biodiversity. The Jim Corbett National Park is very famous throughout India with Jungle rides , camping , parks and many safaris. The Corbett falls are also very famous and a good scenic photoshoot giving way to Nainital. The trip is even more fulfilling with the presence of a few famous temples such as Durga Mandir Temple , Sitabani Temple , Garija Temple.

Jaipur –

 Pink City is the most monumental and beautiful city of Rajasthan which checks off all the boxes for your road trip. Almost 281 km from Delhi , this has bustling streets and bazaars with everything to buy from including clothes , jewelry , shoes and many more. Some famous tourist attractions include Amer Fort , Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar , City Palace , Albert Hall Museum and Birla Mandir.

Nainital –

 300 km away from the main center of Delhi , this place definitely gives you YJHF fws for sure! This is a place for you to just relax , sync with nature and give yourself some time. Sitting near Nainital Lake and having some local street food is a great way to pass time. Cane Garden is a famous attraction there.

Amritsar –

 Located in Punjab and quite far from Delhi , atleast 400+ km away this city has so much more to offer. The warm hospitality of the place coupled with delicious food is the way the Punjabis treat you. Famous for its Wagah Border and Golden Temple that will stun your eyes. Your taste buds will be amplified when you taste the regional food there including Amritsar Kulcha , Chole bhature and later on in the day shop for local textiles.

  Alwar – 

One of the closest from Delhi is this place. Located only 150 kms away this is pervaded with dense vegetation , azure clear waterfalls and home to many flora and fauna. Well known for its Sariska Tiger Reserve. It offers a thrilling experience to go spot animals there on safari. Another famous activity to do there is Flying Fox which will gush adrenaline down your nerves with its exhilarating zip line experience. Dehradun –

 The capital city of Uttarakhand is one of my favorite locations to visit at any time of the month. Many institutions are located here with sprawling campuses. Robber’s Cave is the most  amusing place here and is best enjoyed during Summer. Adventure lovers and young couples love exploring these caves. The Deer Park , Buddha Temple , Guru Ram Rai Gurudwara will amaze you. 

Dhanaulti –

 Located in Uttarakhand this place is the perfect spot for a calm and chill weekend trip. It is a trekking location to the Garhwal Himalayan range. Potato farms and the Eco Park maintained by the Forest Department that attracts thousands of visitors annually for its picturesque view. It is also a abode to many adventurous activities , camping , walking through the snow laden mountains. Surkanda Devi Temple is a famous spiritual place there.

Mcleodganj – 

An amalgamation of Indian and Tibetan Cultures this place shows you a mini Tibet. Also called Little Lhasa, this is home to the Dalai Lama and other Tibetan refugees. Slightly far from Delhi almost at 500 km and can be visited year round. This has many must go places such as Bhagsu Falls , Triund is a hill station for trekking. Dharamkot is a quirky little village that satisfies both kinds of people who are into meditation and also into adventurous sports. There is also a Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts with dances , music , folk songs which show you the rich cultural heritage of the land.

Bharatpur –

 This city in Rajasthan is known as Bird’s Paradise which is for all those wildlife photographers out there. The famous places here include the famous bird reserve and the Ghana National Park housing many waterfowl birds. Ganga Mandir and Laxman Mandir are some spiritual places here. This also houses a very attractive garden called Deeg which is surrounded by intricate architectural pillars , gardens , fountains and gateways.
